As part of the University’s periodic open bidding process, CVMNEXT was awarded an open contract for ongoing general contracting and construction management services. Applicable to multiple craft trades, CVMNEXT was able to respond to West Chester’s needs directly for small and urgent-need projects that would otherwise be delayed by the State’s typical bidding processes.

One result from this agreement was the retrofitting of a new retractable dome assembly on the Astronomy Department’s observatory. Encompassing engineering and construction services, this delicate procedure was subject to not only the condition of the existing structure but also the sensitivity of the equipment to be installed. With similar project experience at Swarthmore College, CVMNEXT was able to complete the work efficiently and effectively.
