Since 1922, the Martha’s Vineyard Museum (MVM) has served as the cultural hub of the island, preserving and interpreting collections that engage and connect the public to the island’s diverse history, art and artifacts. In addition to serving as steward of three historic lighthouses, the museum’s collection includes extensive holdings of objects, archival documents, historic books and photographs, paintings and museum exhibits.

As part of an ambitious growth plan, MVM acquired the historic Marine Hospital in Vineyard Haven, and intends to undertake a comprehensive restoration of the 1898 structure. Additionally, the master plan calls for the construction of a new, state-of-the-art wing that will house exhibits, curatorial space and additional collections storage. CVMNEXT is serving as owner’s representative during the preconstruction phase of this project, providing project administration services, budget review, phasing and scheduling support to the owner and design team.
