Jon is a founding principal of CVMNEXT, and is known for his creative and collaborative design and construction management related to the adaptive reuse of buildings and urban infrastructure as well as for unique academic, civic and special-purpose structures. His 30 years of experience includes notable structural engineering and construction management for cultural institutions including The National Audubon Society, Philadelphia Museum of Art, MoMA New York, Monticello, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, The Philadelphia Outward Bound School, Philadelphia Center City District, The National Park Service and Tyler Arboretum. His work also includes major projects for a number of prominent colleges and universities including the University of Pennsylvania, Temple, Cornell, Harvard, Princeton and Yale, along with Swarthmore, Bryn Mawr, Haverford and Williams.
Jon’s teaching experience includes many years as engineering critic to Drexel University’s seventh-year architectural thesis studio and undergraduate structural design program, along with participating on numerous architectural juries. In addition, he developed and taught a graduate level course on the design of lightweight structures for the graduate architecture program at the University of Pennsylvania.
