Bright June sunshine greeted a group of six slender-tailed meerkats as they emerged from the Small Mammal House at Philadelphia Zoo, marking the debut of Meerkat Maze, the newest extension of Zoo360, a first-in-the-world animal exhibit. Meerkat Maze was conceived by Philadelphia Zoo in collaboration with CLR Design, and designed and built by CVM and CVMNEXT. It includes a network of outdoor trails and lookout towers that enables the animals to venture, roam and explore around the Zoo, and running alongside is a parallel trail for kids so that they can get eye-to-eye and nose-to-nose with these amazing mammals!

We were happy to be on hand this morning for the unveiling (along with local radio and television outlets), and probably took far too many photos. Scroll down for some of our favorites, and make sure to visit the mob this summer!
